Skin your iPhone using Winterboard Application

For those who would like to customize iPhone with new icon, wallpapers and themes, here there is the most recommended application available in Cydia. It’s called Winterboard. Your iPhone must already unlocked & jailbroken in order to use WinterBoard. Winterboard on iPhone (like its predecessor Summerboard for iPhone 1.1.4) is an iPhone theme manager that allows you to change any WinterBoard/SummerBoard theme on iPhone. You may also see my post about Vista Mobile Theme, the most recommended theme for iPhone.

To install WinterBoard trough Cydia is very easy, just follow a few step below:

Step 1: Go to “Cydia” and select “sections” on haptic menu

Step2: Select “System” category and select “winterboard”. After installation your iPhone will be restarted automatically.

These are a few themes such as AquaFlivor and Leaf for example.

These second instruction will guide you due to “leaf” theme installation for example.

Step 1: Go to “Cydia” and select “sections” on haptic menu

Step 2: Select “Themes” category and select “Leaf Theme”. Wait for a second

Activate “Leaf Theme” via WinterBoard

Step 3 : Go back to Home screen and launch Winterboard.

Step 4: Tap on the “Leaf” that you just install and click the Home button.

Step 5: Wait for a few second and let WinterBoard load the “Leaf” theme for you. You’ll then bring back to the locked screen. Unlock it and you’ll see a fresh new look of your iPhone.

iPhone Update: Cycorder now with Audio Recording..

Cycorder has just released an updated version (0.9-4) via Cydia. Now it’s release with new version and be able to record audio too. The previous version, it’s does good video quality but lacks of audio recording. Fortunately, this application still free!. For those who don’t know what Cycorder is, it is an iPhone unlimited application that powers your iPhone camera to record video. Click here for detail how to install Cycorder via Cydia.

Video Camera for iPhone 2.0 firmware

This is a free an application called Cycorder. Cycorder gives a better video quality and recording speed than iPhone Video Recorder. Cycorder offers real-time video compression that records video at around 6 – 15 frames per second with no compression delay and supports 384×288 (television 4:3 aspect ratio). Unfortunately it cannot record audio simultaneously. See the details about  Cycorder update. For your information Cycorder only available for Jailbreak iPhone. NOTE: By the time i wrote this post, i was on the iPhone 2.0 software update as my title above. Now, my iPhone on latest software update due to  unlocking & jailbreaking and still using  Cycorder. Until now, Cycorder application still  compatible with jailbreak  iPhone 2.0 – 2.2 firmware.

Install Cycorder via Cydia

Launch Cydia. Select “sections” at haptic menu, select “multimedia” category and go to “Cycorder”. After installation complete, your iPhone will be restarted automatically and get ready to take video!.

How to customize your iPhone with Apple logo sliders

These are instructions on how to customized your iPhone to convert your classic bar slider with Apple logo slider.

IMPORTANT: You need to have unlock/jailbreak your iPhone already to do this.

To follow this tutorial you will need to have add “community sources” in your Installer Apps.

Step 1. Go to Installer Apps > Categories > Sources > Community Sources

Step 2. Once “Community Sources” has installed go to Installer Apps > click “sources” at haptic menu > click “Refresh”

Step 3. In order to install Apple logo sliders, go to Installer Apps > Click “Install” at haptic menu > Categories > Planet-iPhones Mods > Apple Sliders version 1.0

After installation complete your iPhone will restart automatically with SpringBoard. You might see your classic bar sliders changed to cute Apple logo in “unlock” mode.
