Maybe you just want to save an image and import it to your computer or to use as wallpaper. Since iPhone software Update 2.0, you can now save images from Safari browser or Mail.

Open a webpage or email which contains an image that you would like to save. Just tap and hold on the particular image for 2-3 second and a dialogue will pop up asking if you would like to save an image. Tap “Save Image” to confirm and it’s immediately saved to your camera roll. If your email containing more than one image, you’ll also have an option to save all of them to your camera roll.
